The Gulf Oil Spill Put Into Perspective

This utility created by Paul Rademacher "which overlays a scaled representation of the Deepwater Horizon spill onto a Google Earth view of any city you choose." gives you a really scary view of what we are doing to our world very quickly!! This disaster at one point was leaking 216,000 gallons of oil a day(the Exxon Valdez spill was 26,000 gallons)

Here is the spill in relation to my home state of Kentucky!

The Ross Sisters

the magic starts at around :58

from wikiwikiwikipedia-

The Ross Sisters were a trio of female sibling dancers consisting of Aggie Ross, Elmira Ross, and Maggie Ross (whose real names were Veda Victoria, Dixie Jewel and Betsy Ann Ross). The Ross Sisters performed as a 3-part harmony trio wherein they also danced and did acrobatics and contortionism. Their public attention peaked during the 1940s, during which they were featured prominently in the film Broadway Rhythm.[3] This footage has since gained popularity on YouTube. This clip also appears in the compilation film That's Entertainment! III (1994).

Culture Generator Vol.1

Its Finally here!! "Culture Generator Vol. 1" is my attempt to share great music with my community. I have compiled songs from anyone who has a connection to Frankfort, KY. Be it, they are from here, they have played here, or they are friends with me and I am from here :)

I set out to complete this a few months back but just a month or so got around to sending out the emails to friends. I sent out about 30 emails and got responses from almost everyone(and songs from about 15!) Pretty great odds!! So I am posting the .zip file here which includes all the songs, the artwork, info sheet, and instructions on how to put together your own copies(in the even that you dont get a physical copy from me!)

This was a lot of fun and I plan to do them about every 2 months so look out for the next one!!
